Reverend Lovejoy

revlovejoyphoto120.jpg

Reverend Lovejoy is a 5-year-old pit bull currently residing at Pets Unlimited in SF while he waits for his perfect home (in between visits to senior citizens in an assisted living center, where he's a big hit).

The Rev wound up at Pets Unlimited after spending his youth in a truck yard--where he fell victim to an accident that cost him one of his hind legs. Between his naturally sunny disposition and the care he's received at Pets Unlimited, he's doing just fine and delighting people wherever he goes. Life is fun for the Rev, and he wants to share the love!

Because of his tripod status, Reverend Lovejoy would do best in a home with few stairs. He's active and loves to play, and a fenced back yard would be great. Humans with bully-breed experience are a definite plus; cats not so much. Says his pal Barbara, "If you're looking for an animal-assisted therapy partner, he could be The One."

Pit haters need not apply, though the Rev probably loves them too.

Meet Mission

Mission.jpg Mission, age 6 1/2, is a gentle, beautiful blue-and-white domestic medium hair cat. He's is a longtime resident of Saffron House at Pets Unlimited (http://www.petsunlimited.org/adopt/saffronhouse.htm), a dedicated haven for FIV+ kitties, but he's waiting patiently for his forever home.

FIV+ cats have vulnerable immune systems, but most of them live long and happy lives. Mission longs for his dream home where he can lie in the sun by the window and ponder the silly behaviors of the animals frolicking outside, while spoiling his new family with his calming presence. He must be kept indoors, and must be the only cat in the home or live with other FIV+ cats. To learn more about Mission, call 415-568-3058 or visit the Pets Unlimited shelter in San Francisco.

Meet Noah

noah.jpgHere's what his pals at the San Francisco SPCA have to say about this handsome guy:

"Don't let that big, goofy head fool you — Noah leads with his HEART! He’s a 2-year-old, neutered male brown brindle pit bull mix. He's a strong guy and weighs 65 pounds.

Noah (ID#A064938) is a staff favorite at the San Francisco SPCA because he is so affectionate with everyone he meets. He's a special dog who deserves a loving home with an experienced adopter, someone who can build on his good foundation of obedience training and make him into a proud breed ambassador! Visit him at the San Francisco SPCA, 250 Florida Street near 16th Street in SF. For more information, call 415-522-3500 or visit www.sfspca.org.
